The COMPLETE SIRIUS® PUPPY COURSE

Lure/Reward puppy training techniques are quick, easy, extremely effective and a whole lot of fun. Early puppy temperament training is crucial for a companion dog and teaching puppies basic manners early lays the foundation for long-term success.

However, if training is not continued through adolescence it all falls apart. You see, it all goes well until the puppy collides with adolescence whereupon everything goes downhill - surprisingly precipitously. Adolescent dogs develop competing doggy interests and would much rather wander and sniff or play with other dogs than pay heed to their owners.

Teaching adolescent and adult dogs requires additional support and specialized training techniques to achieve long-term reliability. Consequently, we have decided to offer our world-famous SIRIUS® Puppy Class in a new two-part format that consists of two six-week classes for a total of 12 weeks of comprehensive and concentrated learning. The new course is specifically designed to quickly start your pup off on the right paw and to make sure early training and socialization sticks through your dog's adolescence by becoming effortlessly integrated into your ongoing daily routine.

You may enroll for the complete 12-week puppy course (Registration Fee $350) and schedule to take Puppy Part 1 and Puppy Part 2 consecutively (with a flexible mid-term vacation), or you may register for Puppy 1 and Puppy 2 separately (Registration Fee $200 for each class).

Our puppy classes are taught entirely off-leash in a real-life format with the goal of producing good-natured and well-mannered adult dogs. The primary emphasis is on producing safe, people-friendly and dog-friendly dogs and mastering off-leash, verbal control for around the house and out and about.

To facilitate learning, owners are provided with two class textbooks. Owners may download a free copy of Dr. Dunbar's AFTER You Get Your Puppy at the time of registration and they may watch training videos and listen to audio lectures from the free multimedia TRAINING TEXTBOOK at http://dogstardaily.com/training

Requirements: Pups must be between 10 and 18 weeks of age at the start date of class with 2 DHLPP vaccinations, one of which must have been administered after 8 weeks of age but at least 7 days prior to the first session.
